Programme Information
Will applicants be informed of both their F1 and F2 placements for their 2-year programme at the point of match to programme?
Yes, applicants be informed of both their F1 and F2 placements for their 2-year programme at the point of match to programme.
If no (to above question), how and when will they be matched to F2 placements?
We will confirm F2 placements with applicants after allocation if these are not linked prior to preferencing.
Will foundation doctors work in the same hospital/location for their 2-year training programme?
KSS programmes are in the same trust for the 2-year training programme, however some of our multi-site trusts may more than one hospital or community base.
Does the foundation school allow F2 Abroad?
No
Does the foundation school offer FPP programmes?
KSS does have FPP/enhance programmes which are now allocated in the main FP round using PIA. More information on these programmes is available at: Foundation Priority Programmes (FPP) – Working across Kent, Surrey and Sussex
If an applicant is approved for pre-allocation to the foundation school, will they also be pre-allocated to group or programme?
Yes, applicants approved for pre-allocation are pre-allocated to a group only.
Does the school allow matching to group or programme for linked applications?
Links are honoured only up to the group-matching stage, if both applicants preference their groups in exactly same order and there are also sufficient vacancies available.
Does the school hold a welcome event for newly allocated F1s?
