Yes – placements are arranged by regions based around a single hospital or group of nearby hospitals.

Yes, we have 9 x programmes based in Aberystwyth which include involvement in the Cardiff Medical School rural medicine training programme.
If an applicant is approved for pre-allocation to the foundation school, will they also be pre-allocated to group or programme?
Yes, we consider pre-allocation down to “region” level (i.e. to posts based around a single hospital or group of nearby hospitals)
Does the school allow matching to group or programme for linked applications?
Yes, we consider linked applications down to “group” level (i.e. Health Board)
Does the school hold a welcome event for newly allocated F1s?
