English language proficiency can be demonstrated by:
1. Providing a valid IELTS with a minimum score of 7.5 in each domain at one sitting, or a valid OET with a minimum score of 400 in each domain at one sitting. Your IELTS/OET sitting must be dated no more than two years prior to the start of the programme and therefore, for 2023 entry, no earlier than 2 August 2021.
IMPORTANT: You must share your OET results with the UKFPO. If your results are not shared, the UKFPO will be unable to verify your result and your application may be marked as ineligible. Instructions on how to share your results through your OET online account can be found here.
OR
2. Alternatively, proof that your primary medical qualification has been undertaken solely in English, that all examinations undertaken were solely in English and your primary medical qualification included at least 75% of contact with patients in English. The General Medical Council (GMC) maintains a list of institutions from which they will not accept evidence of English Language proficiency.
