F2 Stand-alone 2026 – Withdrawing an application

You can withdraw your application at any time. Once withdrawn, it is not possible to reinstate your application for any reason, and you will not be able to re-apply within the current recruitment round. Choosing to withdraw your application will not affect your ability to apply again in future years.

During the application period (and before offers take place), if you decide that you no longer want to pursue your F2 stand-alone application, you can withdraw your application yourself on Oriel.

1) Navigate to the “Applications” tab in your dashboard, and then select the F2 stand-alone application.

2) Navigate to the “Application Options” drop down list in the right-hand corner.

3) Select “Withdraw application”.

Ensure that you are absolutely sure that you wish to withdraw your F2 stand-alone application before you do so, because this action cannot be reversed once it has been actioned.

If you wish to withdraw your application after accepting an offer, you must notify your Foundation school and the UKFPO at the earliest opportunity.

Please email england.helpdesk.foundationprogramme@nhs.net and your Foundation school, preferably from the email account associated with your Oriel profile, and include the following information:
