UKFP 2027 Pre-allocation Timeline

Non-urgent advice: Application submission information

Applications for pre-allocation must be submitted during the national application window alongside the main Foundation Programme application form on Oriel and by the deadline, which can be found within the UKFP 2027 application timeline.

A summary of the dates for the pre-allocation process are listed below, however, applicants should ensure that they refer to the entire 2027 application timeline for all relevant dates for the UKFP 2027 application process.

Pre-allocation applications and the required supporting evidence need to be submitted at the same time that the main FP application is submitted on Oriel.

The national application window for the Foundation Programme opens on 23 September and closes 07 October 2026 12:00 midday (BST). Applications for pre-allocation must also be submitted on Oriel between 23 September – 07 October 2026 12:00 midday (BST).

Pre-allocation applications cannot be submitted after submission of the main FP application on Oriel or after the application window has closed. Pre-allocation applications must be submitted through the Oriel application system.

The national pre-allocation review panels will take place after the application window closes for the Foundation Programme.

Applicants must refer to the withdrawing from the pre-allocation process within the pre-allocation guidance and submit a withdrawal form by this deadline.
