National Foundation Doctors Presentation Day 2026 – winning presentation and reflections

Dr Matthew Emmerson, FY2 in Oxford Foundation School, impressed the judges with his oral presentation at the National Foundation Doctors Presentation Day 2026 – “A Retrospective Comparison of Artificial Intelligence and the Orthopaedic Multi-Disciplinary Team in the Management of Intracapsular Neck of Femur Fractures”.  

The UKFPO received a record-breaking 923 abstracts, of which 174 were shortlisted and 161 were presented on the day. This included 18 oral presentations, out of which Dr Emmerson was judged the overall winner.
