SCRIPT is an eLearning programme to improve safety and competency among healthcare professionals around prescribing, therapeutics and medicines management.
For information about the SCRIPT programme, including the team of experts who created and maintain it, access the SCRIPT website.
All foundation doctors have free access to the Safe Prescriber resources. Foundation doctors are encouraged to sign up if they have not already done so by following the SCRIPT registration link and select ‘Sign up now’ to register.
Curriculum requirements
Local education providers and/or foundation school teams provide advice on which modules may be most helpful for foundation doctors in their region. Foundation doctors should discuss any questions or ideas with their supervisors or local postgraduate centre team.
The webinar below, held in August 2024, explores the FP curriculum requirements around safe prescribing, how safe prescribing might be evidenced in the foundation e-portfolio and the SCRIPT e-learning platform:
Learner pathway for medics
The SCRIPT Team have created a handy guide for Foundation recommending modules that align with the Foundation programme.
The pathway caters for Foundation doctors who are new to SCRIPT, as well as those who engaged with SCRIPT during their undergraduate years.
