All applicants have the option to apply for pre-allocation to a particular Foundation School based on personal circumstances. Applications for pre-allocation are reviewed by a national panel comprising of medical school, foundation school and UKFPO representatives.
Applicants must have submitted a pre-allocation application during the national FP application window to be eligible for the appeal process.
Applicants who are not approved for pre-allocation may submit an appeal if they believe that the processes or procedures have not been followed, or there is evidence of unfairness in how the process has been implemented and the objectivity of decisions is called into question.
Non-urgent advice: Important
Following the release of application outcomes, applicants cannot correct any errors made as part of their initial application and cannot provide any additional information/evidence they might have omitted from their application. Additional information/evidence will not be accepted as part of the appeal process.
