In this section you will be asked if you have successfully completed a UK-based F2 training year, or have previously resigned from, or been released or removed from, a foundation training programme.
If you have already successfully completed a UK F2 training programme and have received a Foundation Achievement of Competency Document (FACD) or Foundation Programme Certificate of Completion (FPCC) or equivalent, you are not eligible to apply for F2 Stand-alone programmes.
If you are currently working as part of a UK two-year foundation training programme as either an F1 or F2 doctor, you are not eligible to apply for F2 Stand-alone programmes.
Non-urgent advice: Important – Re-application to foundation training form
If you have previously been removed or have resigned from foundation training (either a two-year Foundation Programme or a one-year stand-alone F2 programme) you must upload a completed copy of the 2025 Re-application to Foundation Training Form to your Oriel application.
Re-application to foundation training form
The form must be completed by either the Foundation School Director or the Foundation Training Programme Director at the Trust/hospital or Foundation School where you previously undertook foundation training. The Foundation School Director must also complete and sign the last section.
If you have undertaken foundation training in more than one Foundation School, this must be completed by the Foundation School where your removal/resignation from training took place.
If you were previously allocated to, or previously accepted a foundation programme, but never commenced in post, you do not need to complete the form.
The re-application form must be signed by the Foundation School Director (FSD) for the foundation school to which you were previously allocated, and the Foundation School Director must be supportive of your reapplication for Foundation training.
The re-application from can be found on the 2025 F2 Stand-alone resources webpage.
