We will be writing to our key stakeholders to ask for their view on the proposal.

Survey

A wide variety of stakeholders including medical students, current foundation doctors, foundation school managers, Training Programme Directors, Directors of Medical Education and employers are invited to take part in our short survey which will run until Tuesday 28 February. Please find the survey here.

National Webinar

We hosted a webinar to outline the reason for the engagement, what is being explored and provide a chance to pose questions. The webinar took place on 15 February at 18.30 GMT. The recording of the webinar can be found at  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma10O8NSKVw.

Professor Elizabeth Hughes, Deputy Medical Director, Health Education England said:

“This is a fantastic opportunity for you to play a part in helping us shape how the Foundation Programme allocation is delivered next year. We would value your thoughts on which option you prefer and any thoughts or concerns you may have about moving to a new allocation model.

At the heart of this work is making sure that there is a fair system that gives everyone who applies the best possible chance to go to their preferred Foundation School so please do get involved and make sure your voice is heard.”

This page will be regularly updated so please look out for further information on our engagement and how you can make sure that your voice is heard. Please note that we will not be able to include responses from stakeholders sent to UKFPO by email.
