Technical issue resolved

The UKFPO would like to apologise to applicants for the technical issue which appeared in the foundation programme application form for a short time on Oriel at the start of the application window on 20 September 2023.

The error appeared in part 2 of the FP application form in the professional registration section of the Eligibility tab.

Unfortunately, the error prevented UK nominated applicants from selecting the “yes” option to confirm that they have been nominated by a UK medical school.

We are pleased to confirm that after urgent investigation this issue has been resolved.

We are very sorry this happened and for any inconvenience this may have caused applicants. Please be reassured that this resolved issue will not have affected submitted applications and won’t affect allocation to a foundation programme.

Applicants who encountered this issue and are still logged into their application on Oriel, should refresh the page to update it, and then complete this section of the application form. If you have already saved your application progress and logged out, please log back in and complete this section of the form. Applicants who have already submitted their application do not need to action anything.
